Your data, handled with care.

Plain-language on what we collect when you join the Kastme waitlist, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Who this covers

This is the privacy notice for the Kastme waitlist. Kastme is a pre-launch, video-first job platform being built in the Philippines. This notice explains what we collect when you join the waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to line up with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

When the product opens, a fuller notice will cover the app itself. For now, this page is about the waitlist only.

What we collect

  • Your email address. This is the only thing we need to add you to the list.
  • Whether you join as a job seeker or as an employer.
  • Optionally, the kind of role you are after, or, for employers, how many people you are hiring. You can skip these, and skipping changes nothing about your spot on the list.
  • Basic technical data: the page that referred you, and anonymous analytics about how the site is used.
  • A small first-party cookie that remembers your consent choice and a random visitor id. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

  • To add you to the waitlist and email you when it is your turn to create an account.
  • To send the occasional useful update before then. No spam, and you can opt out any time.

Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw that consent whenever you like (see Your choices and rights).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. To run the waitlist we use a small set of trusted service providers, each acting only on our instructions:

  • Supabase, our database and authentication.
  • Resend, our email delivery.
  • PostHog, our privacy-conscious product analytics.
  • Vercel, our website host.

Some of these providers may process data outside the Philippines. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for it.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until launch and for a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first.

Your choices and rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you can, at any time:

  • Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Object to how we use it, or ask us to delete it.
  • Withdraw your consent. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did while your consent was still in place.

To do any of these, email hello@kastme.app and we will act on it. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may also raise it with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

Keeping your data safe

Access to waitlist data is limited, connections are encrypted in transit, and we follow least-privilege practices. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Age

Kastme is for people entering or already in the workforce. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this notice

Kastme is still pre-launch, so this notice will grow as the product does. When the app opens, a fuller notice will cover it. Whenever we make a change here, we will update the date at the top of this page.
